Create your happy life
ps- Thanks to Sara for making me aware of this video's existence.
I'm not sure this is the type of creating he meant, but I just discovered the most funnest way to waste time ever! Polyvore.com lets you browse millions of clothes and accessories and put together outfits. It's like window shopping + paper dolls on steroids. Uh-mazing. Here's the first one I came up with... won't be the last!

A little inspiration
I love Zooey Deschanel. She just seems so dang cool. She was hysterical in Failure to Launch, she has super cool style, and on the list of things I covet most in this world... her voice is tops. Anyway, there was an interview with her in Nylon Magazine and she was talking about how fulfilled she is. That she is living her dreams. How great for her! I found it so inspiring, and am feeling more motivated than ever. I want to do what's necessary to put me in a place that if someone were to interview me, I could say the same. The interview ended with a line from my favorite childhood movie (and coincidentally, Zooey's) "Sometimes, the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true." - The Wizard of Oz
I'm listening to her album right now... Sentimental Heart is my fav track.

I also read The Secret Life of Bees, a book chalk-full of inspiration. One excerpt that I especially loved is a discussion between Lily and Zach when they're talking about what they want to be when they grow-up. She says, "I've just never heard of a Negro lawyer, that's all. You've got to hear of these things before you can imagine them." To which Zach replies, "Bull... You gotta imagine what's never been."
Makes me wonder what I should be imagining.

Reminiscing #2: Family Time
*Asking our waiter if he'd "ever tried the Wiener Schnitzel?" (I never claimed to be mature)
*Shopping with stellar shopping companions
*Discovering these shoes:
*Getting my fill of Chik-Fil-A... WHY do they not exist in the NW? We have a serious shortage of waffle fries in our part of the country! The next leg was in OK at Angie's place where I got to play with her beautiful kiddos:

Finally, Mom and I went back to Denver where Jer flew in and we hung out with my Dad and Bro. We went to a Rockies Game, watched the Olympics, experienced freakishly cold/wet weather, and went to the Denver Art Museum. My favorite part was the Clyfford Still exhibit, soon to become the Clyfford Still Museum. So inspiring. I also loved all the interactive parts of the museum including this wall where anyone could post their definition of 'Art'. It made me want to have a wall in my house where the people who visit can post their thoughts and ideas. How do you define art?
Oh yeah, and I loved this quote so much I talked the security guard into letting me leave it on my camera (he busted me for taking pictures of the temporary exhibit and made me delete the rest). The quote makes me feel like my snapshot style of photography is indeed valuable.
