Like Christmas Eve

I'm real excited and a little nervous... tomorrow morning we have an ultrasound and we'll finally know if Little One has girl parts or boy parts. What's your guess?

Weekend Update

This weekend I:

*got to play with my friend from Salt Lake who came for a visit

*ate Skinnidip twice

*bought a book about Walker Evans that has me so inspired... I'm in love with photography all over again

*stayed busy enough to avoid packing many of the moving boxes that are lying around

*got the keys to our new condo and saw it at night for the first time

*saw this movie as part of my nephew's 3rd Birthday celebration (my favorite part was the baby ducks jumping from the tree... so brave!)

Before the movie started, I got to see this trailer again and I can't even tell you how much I'm looking forward to this movie. Just thinking about it makes me want furry pajamas with ears and a tail. And a crown. And then to howl at the sun while wearing them.

Create your happy life

Morning sickness zapped all my creative energy for weeks on end. Now that I am feeling better, I have been super antsy to get back to work. SO many ideas. The video below gives me the chills. I just love that Elder Uchtdorf.

A Change of Heart

Those of you I have spoken with recently know I am already deep into the nesting phase of pregnancy. I am dying to organize every detail of our existence in preparation for Little One. Mostly, that means I have forced us into an all-consuming house hunt. I have been so desperate for more space/an extra bedroom that I was ready for suburbia to supply my demands. Tonight I decided I'm not as ready as I thought. Jeremy and I walked four blocks to dinner, crossed the street to Powell's Books, and then hit up Cupcake Jones on the way home. I don't think I'm ready to give up this type of convenience. Now, if we can just find the perfect two bedroom loft...

Did Hell Freeze Over?

No that's not Hell, it hasn't frozen over (as far as I know), nor have I seen any pigs flying around. I was beginning to think that might happen as soon or sooner than my next blog post though. But... here I am. I promise I have a pretty good excuse. I have been sitting around elated to be in the position I am (knocked up), and also sorry for myself because Little One is making me bow to the porcelain god a minimum of thrice daily. Here he/she is... looking all innocent at 10 weeks. Don't be deceived.
