Well, Hello again!

In case you hadn't noticed, I recently lost my will to blog. I felt a little lost and out of balance so I stepped away for a bit to get my bearings. Today I got my photo mojo back for the first time in a while. I was strongly reminded why I love making photos. Experiencing the world through the camera's eye is one of my favorite things ever. I decided to share the love and that reminded me of something else. I don't want to miss out on the sharing that occurs among the artistic community here in blogland. That means I'm back on the blog-wagon. I'm still trying to decide exactly how I want it to play a role in my life so any advice/input you could provide would be appreciated. Why do you blog? How does it impact your life? What do you hope to get from it?

Gemma & Rockstar patiently waiting for me to find my photo mojo:

Blogging is just cathartic for me, and while my posts are usually kind of boring....I find that the more I do it, the more content and creativity I find to put into it. Even when I'm just venting.

PS....You were adorable at church on Sunday. I know you felt frazzled sitting on the floor juggling things while Gemma ran around, but everyone thinks she is adorable. And I would have been more help if it wasnt for the fact that I cant bend over at all at this point. (I still dont understand how people live through pregnancy when they already have kids to take care of....maybe someday I will :))

I'm going to be honest...I blog because I like the sound of my own voice (or in this case-my writing). I originally started out of a purely vain need to portray a perfect life to those who might read (mostly ex-boyfriends, past enemies, women skinnier/more beautiful/more talented than me). My purpose has morphed as I've become less concerned with how I'm perceived. I figure, I'll just blog whatever's on my mind or I find notable and that in itself will represent what is going on in my life and who I am. It's mostly for friends and family to see what's going on with us now that I never hang out with or talk to people. Case in point-I've wanted to get together with you FOREVER but we just can't seem to let our schedules collide. I'm hoping they'll collide soon.

Wow, can you say novel? Apparently, I am more passionate about the subject than I thought. See, that's what happens when I blog too. Sometimes I even surprise myself.

Love the pictures! I blog because I use it as a journal. I print them out each year...late...and have it to remember things by. When I print it I put my personal journal and the ones I've done for my kids in there too. I also decided to put pictures in that I've taken that didn't make it on the blog. Blogging also makes me take a look around and think about what might be "blog worthy." It's really opened my eyes to the sweet simple things around me. Also, I always include a picture in my post, which means I'm taking more pictures, which hopefully means I'm getting better:) And lastly, so my family can see my kids grow up. Happy blogging:)
