Meet John Shumway
I didn't post any pictures on Father's Day cuz I was out of town. I thought my readers deserved to see the handsome man who raised me. Isn't he such a cute Daddy?

Yes It Is
I went to Powell’s Books today to buy Matt a birthday present and came home with this super cool button. I’m proud of myself for limiting my purchase to $1.50. They have every book I ever wanted there and I could really go crazy. Here are a few of the books I have my eye on right now:

Daddy's Day
Happy Father's Day! In honor of my Daddy, here's a little list:
Top Ten Reason's John Shumway deserves at least one day in his honor-
10.) He sacrificed his career as a rock star when I was born so he could settle down with three little ones.
9.) He always knew the funniest songs to make his kids laugh and was great at always playing with us.
8.) He knew every park and walking trail and public event in the NW where we could spend family time.
7.) He always did whatever it took to take care of all our needs.
6.) He would play guitar for me until I fell asleep, and even made a recording of his music for me when I went to college.
5.) He never missed an important performance or event of mine. He even danced with me and my dance team in front of hundreds of people.
4.) He taught me from the time I was small that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me.
3.) He is the most well-rounded person I know. He can have an interesting conversation about music, art, religion, politics, business, finances, sports, etc.
2.) He never leaves any doubt that he loves and believes in everyone in his family
And the number one reason to celebrate Dad today...
1.) He's just the best, cutest Daddy ever!

Yes, I'm gonna be THAT girl
The one who complains about gas prices. I have a modeling go-see in Seattle on Monday and they're reimbursing me $90 for travel expenses. Times like these I wish I didn't drive an SUV so I would have a little left over to buy this:

It's Not Easy Being Green
Anyone who's been within earshot of me recently knows I'm sick of the grey days here in Portland. Yes I'm ready for summer but when you see the beauty-ful green surroundings that our liquid sunshine provides, it becomes almost worth it. Jeremy, Rockstar and I spent Memorial Day (yes it's been a while since I've posted and I've probably lost the two people who read my blog anyway) in the Columbia River Gorge. We went to Hood River and took our time driving home looking at scenes like this one:
SO BEAUTIFUL! Jer was a gem of a husband and stopped along the way whenever I wanted to use my TtV camera contraption. I took lots of photos like the ones above and had a great time doing it. One of the cutest moments of the day was when Rockstar learned to jump from one railroad tie to the next to avoid the gravel in between. (Don't say a word, I've already come to terms with the fact that I'm an abnoxiously proud doggy-mama)
***Update*** Since posting this I have learned that the word is much less abnoxious, much more obnoxious... at least if you're speaking English which, it seems, I only occasionally do.
